McMurdo Marine Systems has today announced that it has been awarded a contract worth almost 1.5 million euros, which involves the supply of beacons to track fishing boat fleets and oil slicks.
"News of this latest contract for M2M marine applications underlines our capacity and expertise in developing positioning and communication equipment for mobile objects, which are exposed to particularly extreme environmental conditions (flooding, hard impacts or vibrations, high humidity or dust, etc.)."
The beacons will be supplied at intervals throughout 2013 - 2014.
McMurdo Marine Systems will exhibit the Oceania Marine Tracking Buoy System at the Shipbuilding, Machinery & Marine Technology International Trade Fair taking place in Hamburg, Germany from 4th – 7th September 2012.

McMurdo Systems has been awarded a contract to supply an Aids to Navigation Remote Monitoring System. The contract has been awarded to McMurdo Systems by the Centre d'Etudes Techniques Maritimes et Fluviales (CETMEF – French Institute for Maritime and Inland Waterways), and is worth €1 million over 3 years.
